Registration Information:

Phase I: 15th October - 7th November 2009

  • Phase I will cover entire registration cycle, whereby you would be simply registering through the registration tab & filling in details online.
  • Teams can be made of 4 to 5 members only.
  • You will be informed of the course of action once you submit your form.
  • You will only be required to submit an executive summary of your business plan in Phase I and short listing will be done based upon the quality of your executive summaries.
    NOTE: Business ideas can be varied and diverse and participants are not required to restrict themselves to the theme in this competition. However the inclusion of related ideas is encouraged
  • A institutional cap on teams exists whereby the maximum teams from an institution are as follows:

Regular University Teams: Maximum of 5 teams per university.
Regular High School Teams: Maximum of 5 teams per school.

  • Teams not funded/sponsored by their respective institutions can register as non-regular on a preliminary basis however they will only be accommodated if there is space available in summit. And would be selected based upon their executive summaries.
  • Such teams can only be formed by members (all of them) of the same institution and will be subject to strict scrutiny in the registration process.

Preliminary Decisions:  7th – 9th November 2009

  • Initial decisions will be mailed specifying further course of action.
  • The decision of Registration Team shall be final in this regard, and will not be contestable.

Phase II: 16th - 29th November:

Your status will either show:

  • Shortlisted
  • Waitlisted
  • Rejected
  • Documents Incomplete
  • Pending

Shortlisted:

If your team status has been shortlisted, you will be required to send the following to confirm your participation:

  • Send in summit fee for of all team members as a pay order or demand draft (with your team ID (username) written at the back of your respective demand draft or pay order) in favor of:

“LAHORE UNIVERSITY OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES”

  • A duly attested bona-fide letter of representation (in case of regular teams) or letter of confirmation (in case of non-regular teams) from the institution (school, college or university whichever is applicable) to be posted along with the draft.

(A sample for both private & regular team (whichever is applicable) will be emailed to you.)

  • The drafts & letters should be posted on the following address:

  • Soft copies of passport-size photographs of each team member, with name & team id specified format*, to be emailed at yles10@les.org.pk

* When emailing the photographs, the name of the file should be in the prescribed format i.e. TeamID-Name (for example if the Team ID is YLES-LR-100 & the delegate name is Musaddiq then the name of the file should be ‘YLES10-LR-100-Musaddiq’)

Waitlisted:

If your team has been waitlisted, then no further documents will be required until the registration teams contacts you again. You will be notified of the final decision in approximately two weeks.

Rejected:

If your team has been unfortunately rejected, the decision of the registration committee shall be final in this regard, and will not be contestable.

Pending:

If your team status shows pending, then it indicates that Registration is yet to scrutinize your data and does not necessarily mean that documents are incomplete.

Team Registration:  Rs.1500/-

For each member

Event Participation Fee:

Rs.3000/-

On-Campus/Off-Campus Accommodation (Optional)*:

Rs.2000/-

For example a 4-member team requiring accommodation:

For a team of 4 members:

Accommodation:

*Due to limited on-campus accommodation, teams will be accommodated on-campus on first come first served only; the rest shall be adjusted at an off-campus accommodation. You will be informed of your accommodation status in Phase II.
** The summit fee (all of it) is NON-REFUNDABLE, and LES shall NOT make any repayments for any claims/problems, not caused by it.

Any information collected, including personal data, photographs etc., will strictly be used for registration, identification & communication purposes ONLY.  Information collected will be stored for reference purposes only and we will not disclose this information to anyone except for the purposes mentioned above, without your prior consent.
